We offer degree programmes in fields ranging from behavioural and management sciences to engineering and natural sciences. Research spearheads include nanotechnology, biomedical technology, information technology, governance studies, and learning and cognition.

The University of Twente is the only full campus university in the Netherlands. 2,455 faculty and staff and 8,800 students work and unwind in the beautiful green park-like grounds, supported by top facilities for research and teaching, as well as for sports and culture. Teaching

We offer Master of Science students the chance to break through existing academic boundaries and combine technological and social disciplines. Our study programmes are innovative, exploring societies’ needs and then applying relevant knowledge. The University is proud of its entrepreneurial focus and supports graduates to turn their research into commercially viable enter­prises.

Attracting students from throughout the world, the University of Twente has become an international stage for talent. Top research master’s and doctorale programmes are closely linked to the University Research Institutes.

Campus and Student Life

The attractive campus, built on a country estate just outside the city of Enschede, provides the academic and social setting for students to quickly become active members of a thriving community. In addition to study facilities and accommodation, the University of Twente offers a variety of services on campus: a medical centre, counseling, a hotel, religious support, and much more. Expressions of student life are always present in the nearby city of Enschede, and with over 50 sport and cultural associations active on campus, University of Twente students have access to a wide variety of leisure activities.
